After being diagnosed in November last year with leukaemia I was devastated to be told I had breast cancer the end of June his year. My first thoughts on Miss Dua were how honest and to the point she was. My care over the next few months by the breast care team and my cns nurse Moira has been amazing. The plastics team that looked after me during and after my operation went above what I had expected. The nursing staff on stock ward were very caring and looked after me so well. Miss Dua is a fantastic consultant and I'm glad I was under her care I can't thank you enough.

I liked her because she was friendly, she listened to me, she was not simply concerned with my cancer and strove to achieve a good cosmetic result. She treated me like an intelligent adult, discussed what would happen rather than simply telling me what she was going to do. My only disappointment is that I was treated by one of her peers due to vacation, but I was very pleased to be transferred back to her for surgery and aftercare.

Miss Dua was very informative, explaining in detail what was wrong and what treatment was needed. She was also very positive giving me confidence and assurance. On the day of the operation she was very kind but businesslike and invited questions. After the operation she told my husband that the operation had gone as expected before I had returned to the ward and then reassured me later. Today, I went for the follow-up appointment and she was genuinely pleased to tell me my good results. She explained the process as now I move on to radiotherapy and what to expect in future years. Miss Dua has an engaging and pleasant manner and instills confidence in achieving a positive outcome.

From my first meeting with Miss Dua, and her team, I felt very comfortable with them. She, and her team, were very easy to talk to and I felt I was in good hands. They were very reassuring about my treatment and explained everything fully to me. During the lead up to my lumpectomy, I found Miss Dua and the team very supportive, and at my follow up appointment a week after the operation they wasted no time in confirming that everything had gone well and the cancer removed thus removing my worst fears. I had felt very anxious up to this time so their quick reassurance was most welcome. I can say that I found the whole process very efficient and thorough. I now have to wait for the radiotherapy which should start in a few weeks. I would like to thank Sascha and her team for looking after me so well. Ann
